Help Won't play video

nerdy_ness

Lurker
Whenever I try to play videos I previously recorded on the very same device, I get a "Sorry, this video cannot be played" error. I have tried using the video player that comes with the phone, VLC, Winamp, and MX Player. Nothing!!!!! This is really frustrating, since I only recorded the video yesterday, and it played fine immediately after, but now suddenly won't work!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (please don't make suggestions like "turn your phone off" or "pull the battery". These things have been done already 8) )

Hmmm. I popped out the SD card and everything was suddenly symbols and random letters and there were waaaaaaaaaaaay more folders than I previously had...... me thinks something majorly corrupted my SD card. yikes. Had to put the card back in the phone and plug into a computer to even pull off the few pics that weren't corrupted!! How did this happen!! lol.

Is there anything I can do? Would purchasing a new card help? Arg. For the first time, I'm wishing I'd bought an iphone

Nooo not an iphone lol.. a non-galaxy yes. iphone wouldnt even have an SD to get fried :) or an HTC for that matter.
Aparently Sandisk have put a fix in their cards for the toasting thing but i havent read anything that confirms that

You might try coping all the fills from the External SD to the PC. Once copied go into Settings>Storage. Scroll down and select Format SD Card. When finished connect back to the PC and copy all your files back. Reboot the phone so it will scan the SD card. Hope this helps.
