Help wont update

i launched kies , and it said it has to update, did that, it shows me a update is avaiable to update my firmware and I select update. i agree and also to save (checked unsave also) than it just goes in a loop says connecting and it starts all over as above

wtf is up with samsung?
 
Boo Boo - I recently *about 3 days ago* purchased a TAB 2 from Costco. Anyways I too am experiencing the same issue as yourself. However Kies takes me to a page about some contact file and then back to the main screen.

I contacted Samsung via their fb page and they told me :

Sorry to hear about the issues you are having. We recommend that you visit samsung support for more assistance in solving this problem or take the device to a service location near you.

I've read on XDA developers as well as on another popular android forum that others are having the same issue. I think it's a KIES issue not w/ the tablet it's self.
 
How do I launch Kies to get the update? I see it under ALL Applications in settings, but it isn't in my app drawer. I've never used it...thanks
 
You have to download the KIES application from Samsung's site.

Btw I'm currently doing a online chat w/ samsung..talk about useless.
 
I tried downloading from the Samsung app store and i get an error, "product does not exist in this store (4002)". On Google play it says kies is not compatible with my device (galaxy tab 2 7.0). Is there another way to get update?
