Help Won't update

T-Mobile users got the 4.2 update today but it keeps saying update could not be installed after rebooting. Any ideas why? Could it be cause I'm rooted?

Is this an OTA update or via PC Companion? I see from posts over at XDA that several users are reporting that the OTA fails in a similar manner, and that updating via PCC works fine.

I fixed the issue. I was trying to update ota but PC companion worked like a charm.

We don't have this issue 'cos OTA updates don't appear to be enabled for UK firmwares.

Btw, if you want to re-root this may help. I don't see an .ftf of the new T-Mobile yet so you'll probably have to create your own using Flashtool so that you can reinstate the 4.2.2. kernel afterwards.

I got it rooted with one of the one click rooters.

I reflashed the stock T-Mobile rom last week to fix the system UI. Wiping didn't work so I played last resort.
