Words with apostrophe

Silly question, but whenever I try to type a word with an apostrophe like "John's" my Note 3 changes it to "John ' " with the 's removed and replaced with a space then the '.

Help?

Hmm that's strange. What keyboard are you using?

I know with keyboards like Swype and SwiftKey it recognized that I said "Alaina's" or "Adam's" a lot and started pretty much just defaulting those when swiping them out even though I didn't necessarily swipe over the apostrophe.

I have heard this about the Samsung keyboard... Maybe take off space after punctuation if it is an option... I have found that when I first use a name with 's, if i tap it in and hit space it then add it to the dictionary and next time it puts it in the word list.
