Help Work Email Question

Yellow Snowman

Android Enthusiast
Unlike all the other email threads this is not to ask how to hook it up. OR atleast I hope....I called my work IT dept and they should be able to hook it up for me. Reason why I started this thread is this:

Is there a way to delete email off phone but keep in my email inbox? See some emails I want or need but dont need on my phone bogging it down. I know my Blackberry had this great feature and I really hope my TBolt does as well. A great and basic feature I hope I can utilize.

How do I delete email off phone but keep in my email inbox? And if stock email app cannot do this is there an email app that can?

For as long as Ive had an android phone I've used touchdown for my exchange email. It is a great app with a nice interface.

In Touchdown there is an option to leave messages on server.

Hope that helps.

You're not offering a tip, you're asking for tips. Prefix changed to "Support and Troubleshooting" for you.

Snowman, I agree with jamesk84.

Get Touchdown.

You can set Touchdown to only sync the last couple of days of e-mail; this prevents the problem you're describing: you won't have 6 month old messages eating up space on your phone.

I also like that Touchdown keeps your appointments in its own calendar, and that it uses its own PIN lock, so you don't have to PIN lock the whole phone just because your company e-mail administrator requires a PIN. (I use a pattern to unlock the phone and a PIN for TD.)

Sounds good, I will look into Touchdown. I actually did an email app search in the market and didnt run across that. I will look at it tonight.

As far as touchdown, I'm glad it has the option to delete on phone and keep on server because thats important to me. But can it handle more than 1 email account? Can I still run my gmail and yahoo accounts through it as well?

Thanks.
