Root Working Full Ics Camera

:smokingsomb: Ello mates. For this Tut, ill show you how to Have a FULL WORKING Ics camera. PANORAMA WORKS FLAWLESSLY.

Its best to back-up. it may not work on ALL ROMS....

1. Download and install the ICS camera from play store. (camera ICS by Moblynx)

DONT RUN IT YET!!!

2. In root explorer go to: Data>App> com.moblynx.cameraics-1.apk

3. MOVE it to System>App>(place it here)

4. Rename the gb camera: app.disabled.

5.Reboot.

I was under the impression that for panorama to work we needed hardware acceleration provided only by gaining codecs for the arm v6 processor? O.o

Can anyone confirm this fix?

Not really. I was bored yesterday, so i wanted to try it out. It works 100%

The only thing that sucks is the quality (obviously. crapy camera)
 
What rom are you using in the video you posted? I would like to assume it would work in any rom, but its hard telling what would happen
 
If you are talking about the new OA2.3, then yeah, it works, I just tried it. Panorama actually works rather well, but takes a coons age to save it.

I am thinking it will not work on CM7 but I would like to think it might. We'll have to wait for someone to try it out and get back. If it does work, this fix could be used to make CM7 for the Admire that much closer to being a stable daily driver for most of us :D

Kool. i was bored one day, so i tried to destroy the phone by moving random files and running em, but that one worked.
 
unfortunately the CM7 links no longer work. any by req has been removed so someone who has the files need to test that out or someone should contact req tell him about this

I forget who it was but someone got permission from req0 to repost his files and made a thread with them but I don't know what came of that since there are now many people claiming they can't find them
 
yeah Unforgiven got permission from him, it was my thread where it happened. but no matter where you go they are missing cause they are no longer on Mediafire. ive literally checked everywhere. as far as i know only req has those files now and whomever actually downloaded them but it doesnt seem anyone is coming forward
 
So, the ics camera off the play store. The one with ads?
I'd like to incorporate that into my rom seeing as its compatible, but I'm not so keen on ads..

Yea, i hate the ads.

Ive also replaced the stock sms app for ics (the same way) but theres problems (mms sends when it wants to)

well actually playfulgod got permission, and unforgiven hasnt been on this forum in months lol
 
Hey KidAllStar, how was the trip bro? :D And I had done the same with my Camera ( I have ICS Camera+ ), Messaging ( ICS Messaging+ ), LockScreen (HoloLocker), Gallery ( ICS Gallery+ ), and Launcher ( HoloLauncher + ). Everything works ^____^ But instead of renaming the apps, I had froze them with TitaniumBackup, and moved them to my SD ;P

My trip was great lol, I got blacker (wesly snipes black). And i could have froze it but, it can actually slow the phone and take up space. (im a speedy person)
