update=goo manger will flash twrp but the bootloader is locked so im looking for 4.1.1 jellybean/ics boot loader maybe it will work

Yea I have had my legend rooted fora couple weeks now but I'm kindawalking on egg shells because I don't have a custom recovery I do have titanium backup but I can only do so much

Well thats what i used and it does work but maje sure the samsun drivers are installed and make sure devuggig is checked and let me know what happends

If you update you will lose root and this way will no longer work just a heads up

That wasn't the case for me. I downloaded "Root Keeper" from play store , made a backup of su then installed update then went back into the root keeper app and restored root.

If you have received the MK2 patch and lost root or just now thinking about rooting your Legend, There is still a way.

It's called Safe Root. It's designed for the S4 but it works on the Legend just fine. I failed to do restore root when the patch went to my phone, I consequently lost root, tried to root again with Cydia and V Root, and they both failed. After going through the search process again, I found Safe Root here:

Thanks to dev. k1mu for this great work.

I have made a request to the development at Twrp to compile one for the Legend. There is one for the Stellar so it shouldn't be a big deal for it to be done. I'll keep everyone posted as I get feedback on that

whats the best way to speed up your phone or some good things you can do when rooted i couldnt get super su to update but i have rootmaster even though i dont like it

Get an app to set ur cpu and thrn u can start by deleating some stock apps that u dont need to hopefully free up some ram.... After making a backup of course.... And thanks woodybjr that sounds great.. I realy like this phone and im sure ill be keeping it for awhile. So oc and roms would be great.... :)

What method for rooting the I200PP Galaxy Legend (Stellar) would be recommended? Ive seen 3, and everyone says theirs works.

Also, is it going to be useable as normal?

Ive had rooted phones before, done them myself, and not afraid to do it. I just want to make sure that I am going to still be able to use my phone as I can now. Ive read a lot of bad things about Verizon and this phone.

read the first post see if you have the mk2 update if you dpnt the one link will work if you do have mk2 then the second link will work;}

All it does is remove the samsung lock pad screen that shows that you have a custom device its good for keeping the warranty it is a custom triangle away app that was made for the Steeler because the one in the Android Market did not work for our device

Damn i. Would try it but i cant risk bricking my phonr and I'm not familiar with the tool to fix my phone either has anyone tried this yet. And if not what would u say the chances of it worjing on the legend would be?

I wanted to try this ( since I have an extra legend) but can't do anything because I am unable to load up the recovery on the test phone. So my only option is using Odin. But these are .zip not .tar or md5. If I could get these zips in any of those formats then I could try with Odin. Until then there's nothing I can do.
