WARNING: Total Rooting Noob Ahead.
So I got an HTC Evo V 4G a couple months ago, and after getting the system update for the sms interference error (thanks to some help from this forum) I have loved pratically everything about this phone. I downloaded Nova launcher this past weekend, and after playing around with the customizable stuff on there, I am beginning to really think about rooting the phone (if for nothing else than to get rid of all the apps like Facebook, Twitter etc... that I don't use).
I read through the stickied noob guide to rooting the Evo V 4G and it seems like something I could do if I had a few hours to devote to it, but I have a few questions....
Thanks for any help y'all can provide!

I read through the stickied noob guide to rooting the Evo V 4G and it seems like something I could do if I had a few hours to devote to it, but I have a few questions....
- Is it worth it to root the phone if I am mostly happy with it as is?
- If I somehow screw it up, is there a way to undo it completely go back to stock? Or make a back-up of my phone as it is now? (Titanium Backup seemed like a possible method, but it looks like you have to be rooted to use).
- I am not technologically illiterate, the noob-guide made it seem like I can root the phone, but how likely is it that I brick my phone?
- Is there any particular ROM that y'all would suggest for a Rooting Noob?
- (A relatively minor question) I hate the stock lock screen, is this something I can do away with if I root the phone?
Thanks for any help y'all can provide!

... some people like extreme customization (aokp)... its all depends on who you are and what you like... try them all...
