Root Worth rooting? Should bloatware be removed?

I just want to say that I am no Android rookie. I've had so many Android phones, I can't count anymore, and I rooted them all. Anyway, since each phone is different (at least from my experience), I want to know some things:

- Is it worth rooting this phone? This phone seems like a bitch to root, and I really don't wanna root and then realize that there aren't any good ROMs. I checked XDA, but there aren't many screenshots of ROMs. Is the CM7 nightly some-what stable?
- Does all of the bloatware slow this phone down at all, or decrease the battery life? Maybe I should root just to remove it? I plan on installing WidgetLocker and LauncherPro as soon as I get the phone, so I wanted to know if it matters. By the way, what uses more battery: stock Sense launcher or LauncherPro?

Also, please check this out: http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-incredible-2/390172-some-questions-read-please.html

Thanks in advance

Whether rooting is worth it is a totally personal decision, but for me it was. The rooting method isn't as easy as many but not really that bad - and I had to use the Linux method. As for ROMS, I am running Virtuous Unity and really liking it but ROMs are a very personal thing. Many seem devoted to CM7 but I haven't tried it on my Inc2.

As for the effects of bloatware I'm just not sure. They definitely take up memory and some have reported some of it running in the background and eating battery. Seems like that would be a bit more consistent but it is what it is I suppose.

I get the general since that Sense is a bit of a drain on system resources but even running Sense 3.0 via Virtuous Unity my battery life is very acceptable to me (lasts at least a day with my normal use).

Unfortunately the Inc2 can't be rooted at the moment if it's running GB. I'm currently using WidgetLocker which works very well. I also run Auto Kill (an automatic memory manager/task killer) and Juice Defender Plus. JDP does a very good job of extending the battery. My point is the phone is very usable even though it can't be rooted yet. I would also like to remove the unneeded pre-installed apps, but they don't seem to cause any problems.
