Well... was it worth the wait?

I am happier than a pig in sh*t. This... THIS is the phone I've been waiting for.

Needless to say, it was worth the wait for me.

The look, the feel, the speed.... everything is perfect for me.

Waiting on the Thunderbolt 2 info now....:D

naw yes to it it was, Im coming from an OG Droid. This is My first Sense experience also

My preorder from wirefly still hasn't arrived ups. They're getting tired of me calling by now.

Im in the same boat.. glad I went through them though I saved close to 100.00, 239 out the door with a case and screen protector w/ over night shipping. Here in california if I would of bought it in store they charge you tax on the full retail when you sign a 1 yr or 2yr contract so 58.00 tax in vzw stores or 73.00 tax in best buy.. tomorrow cant come soon enough.

I'm loving it so far. The form factor and button placement take a bit of getting used to coming from an Incredible but the device speed as well as the ridiculously fast LTE speed makes it tons of fun to play with.

The screen is absolutely gorgeous when looking straight on, though seems to fade a bit more than the Incredible's when looking at it from an angle.

Overall though, I can see myself living with this phone for a couple years without a problem. (Check back with me in one year though, and we'll see how it's going! ;-) )

Tested the device out and is good with nice display, but have two issues: The missing 5gb I already whined about and no 4g in our area.

4g alone would make it worth the wait for folks who have it. :)

Would've liked the phone sooner, but it seems like a solid phone thus far. I'll still have to get used to the email and other apps coming from a WMo phone.

Also, just on a side note, does email not have a push option? The fastest I can update is 5 minutes but I'd rather the server just push the emails to me as they get here.

I couldnt have said it better myself.

Still just a touch up in the air. The picture qualilty is quite below my Facinate thus far. I will have to tweek it a bit to see if I can get it close. Very smooth thus far and fast as hell. No lag like I have on my Fasc. I like the build quality tho.....very nice!

Nope. Thats why I don't use HTC's email program. Pretty, but not very functional. I use K9 instead. The GMail app also does push. There's also a Yahoo app in the marketplace that does push.

Thats part of having an LCD screen vs AMOLED.

The Incredible (older ones) use AMOLED in which every pixel lights up. Any viewing angle looks pretty much perfect.

With LCD, you have a backlight going through crystals. The crystals can change color and opaqueness. But when viewed at an angle color, contrast and brightness changes are visible. New LCD technology is much better than it was.

Black levels are the other big differentiator. With AMOLED, the pixels just don't light up. You get perfect black.

But with LCD, the LCD has to block the backlight. Never perfect. Some light bleeds through, either directly or around the edges.

correct me if i am wrong....

all the sms, mms, and emails... are serviced by the built in systems from android/htc. you can use 3rd party: handcent and k9 or what ever you choose. but they are only skins.. the real work is done by the built in services (stock apps) in the phone.
