I should have been more specific. ICS update went fine and it was great most of the day but then app crashes started and got progressively worse, the browser especially. When I say progressively worse Im talking about going from 1 crash in an hour session to 5 in an hour along with a few random reboots. There was also a graphic glitch in the form of blank polygon shaped sections of the screen flashing when changing orientation. A couple of factory resets later it and the horizontal blank line issue showed up once. That was enough to decide to wait.
In general I liked what little I got to see, especially the swipe to close apps and swipe to delete notifications. Applications menu was faster and the interface felt snappier.
Is it me or are people really that impatient they can't wait for Asus to fix these issues. I'm interested in the new Primes but I have no problems waiting to see how this shakes out. At the worst, I'll get a TF2 at a cheaper price. There is already one retail outlet selling them at 400.I would rather pay 399 for faulty GPS rather than still pay 499 for something that may or may not work. Based on what I read, 100 bucks more for the TF3 is not insane when you consider people will pay a 100 less for something that doesnt work as advertisied. Would you buy a car if Honda admitted there was a design flaw? Even if you don't use the GPS, the words "design flaws"means I need to think about this. The price of the GPS and Wifi is still included rather you use it or not. Those of you that are willing to just overlook this design flaw send clear messages to companys that consumers are sheep and will pay for substandard products as long as we make them think its a perfectly acceptable business practice.
The only ICS "feature" I don't care for that happens to me is in using the built-in music app. Both times I've tried using it, after a few minutes the screen gets faded out with the horizontal bars across it. I have to lock the screen to be able to see the player so I can stop the song. If I move to using DoubleTwist though I have zero issues. So I don't use the built-in anymore, but I rely on DoubleTwist for my music, and MX Video Player Pro for all of my videos (movies, TV shows, music videos). This combo works for me, and I would not at this point go back to HC because of this one glitch. I've been on ICS since evening number one, for the record.

If you're not using cloud service for your music and your music is stored on the sdcard, look for cm9's music app in the market. It should be in the market today.

Its all about what your needs are.
For example I want to use a tablet to watch movies on and read books. Those are the 2 primary reasons. I'll also probably use it to play those stupid android games on too (lol - they are addictive).
I returned the original transformer because it couldn't play 720p video. I know the TP tablet can display 1080p video.
My secondary goal is to try and develop off it and write source code. We'll see how that works.
I use my phone for my GPS so I could care less about that on the tablet.
You need to find out why you want a tablet and what your uses are. you could probably get away with just the transformer tf101.

I like options, so thank you. I use the Amazon Cloud Player for my music stored there, but most of my music resides in internal storage. My videos are what I store on the removable sdcard. I'll look to see if the cm9's music app will work for that. That's another reason to love Android: options and choice!

Regarding the question on the original posting "Would I buy this or wait for the TF700T?".....I just posted my latest thoughts on that in the General category called "What's Your Second Choice??". In it I refer to recent announcements from Asus on both the Prime and the TF700T.
