Would you buy a PS3 right now?

For that price i'm tempted to get a second one.
I'm operating a 360, a ps3, a wii, and a DYI kick *ss PC...
Why settle for just one? lol

Disclaimer: There will be no talk about cracked/pirated/hacked games....

I'm with you. I had a Atari 2600, a Colecovision...moved on to NES, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Dream Cast, PS1, N64.

Somewhere along the way I had a Turbograpix 16.

PS2, Gamecube, Xbox.

PS3, 360, Wii.

And kept a PC in my home since 1999.

I think thats it....Please dont ask me what order I had em in...lol, but I always had more than one gaming system at a time if I could.

Just realized I might be telling my age....

But yea...I would get the PS3 if you have a chance to. Upgraded my wireless router for better range so I can use my PS3 or 360 wirelessly in my bedroom....just signed up for Netflix, (need Live Gold on the 360 to use it there....just saying...still love my 360 and Live Silver tho...) use Servioo to stream movies from my PC to my PS3 ....(Servioo is an excellent streaming software too. So far the best I've tried. I mostly use it to stream to my Blu Ray player in the living room tho)

And if worried about being safe on the PSN network, I think using the Points cards could be safer than using credit cards. Although...my Hotmail account got hacked, suspended. Took about a week to get it back. Its a mighty big coincidence it happened right around the time all this happened with the PS3. But...thats all it is, a coincidence. My bank credit card was on there too and so far its straight. My bank does good fraud detection, protection so even if something goes down it wont be too big of a hassle for me resolve it.

Disposable, non important email and Points cards might be the safest way to go.

i got one for free :p
with my new contract with Rogers
2 phones with a family plan (over 100$/month for both lines togheter)
free PS3 160gb
so that's why my upgrade from x10a to r800a (play)

yea the ps3 is a pretty good system i have both a ps3 250gb slim and xbox 360 250gb slim, love them both, but sometimes i like playstation better because they are free online, and they are not as strict as xbox live, because all the time people get banned and suspended from xbox live, but I have heard of no one getting suspended or banned from ps3 network and plus even if they did its no big deal because its free to make as many accounts as you want, But I will admit it really pissed me off when their network was down for 28 days straight, but playstations are a good consol and much better then the old xbox 360 standard editions and pro's, and its always nice to have a blu ray player handy if your into that stuff

I take it you don't get on PS Home much. People get banned there all the time. lol

Actually I kinda wish there was a limit to how many accounts you could make. People would be a lot less apt to act as foolish as they do now. These kids today have zero respect.

la noire is terrible and boring. Get gta4 until the new Saints row 3 is out.
GT5 is a must buy
get that ps3 before i beat yo ass boy

At that price yeah i would buy one if i did not already have one.

But a few things are you only buying new games or do you wish to buy used games the used games market is in hot water and maybe dead before next year. And watch your system with LA Noire should you get it it has been known to cause systems to over heat and melt or catch fire its not a joke something to do with a grafx overload or something.
PS3 is better then 360 free online play and free netflix viewing if you have an netflix account the 360 you have to pay 19.99 a month for online play and to use netflix on the 360.

incorrect LordBane

I think he's referring to articles that have appeared announcing that Sony is thinking of making their games strictly "one owner". Like the disc can only be used in one PS3 or something. There's even a name for it, but I can't remember, find an article, or think of a way to pull one up on Google. If someone can refresh my memory, please.

I'm sure they'll cite a used-game industry that's lacking. But it's not hard to see what the real inspiration behind this would be. If they want to kill the used-game industry, they better cut the price of the games in half.

Not only used games, but rentals. I'll be honest, even cutting game prices in half would be a lot for some. I used to game much more than I do anymore. I just can;t justify spending more than $20 on a game that I probably will get bored with before finishing!
