Would you reccomend getting a case?

Just got my Desire S, wondering from longer time users if the phone picks up dirt in the cracks etc. Some phones tend to get grimier than others, depending on design. But as cases tend to take away the design and look of the phone...

I have the outerbox and its by far the best case I have ever used. maybe will be lo bulky for some. I'm sure I would have scratched it if I didn't.

I had about four types for mine, the best one is the officail one from HTC, they do two one is a pouch and the other is a skin, the skin one is great, its fit is great and you can get it from either Xpansys or mobile fun.

I found the DS nice and sleek, when I held for the first time... However, over the first few days on which I nearly dropped it every time, I decided to get a case for it...

Did some research. Ended up buying the Case-Mate Tough... A bit bulky, but a hybrid with nice "grippy" texture on the outside for my big clumsy hands...

I have a screen cover that I out on very very carefully last year - there is no hint of any bubbles like some people have.

I also have a 'barely there' casemate like this:

It is brilliant, gives it a tough rubbery surface on the back to put it down on.

When I'm out and about I keep it in a padded case for extra security:

(I don't sell these, but you asked the question!)

Another vote for the Otterbox. It has saved me at least twice. If you like scratch resistant try Clear Coat. No protection for drops though.

i suggest if you usually put in your pockets or slip ( i mean drop) then best thing is flip type cover. as casing gets scratch or hit mark and those areas will show lines( aluminum) ..which looks bad or get a silicone cover......

My Desire S has worn out in 10 month. Although I use leather case most of the time, the back side of my phone (the black paint) is worn out one near the battery cover and one near the camera. I am not sure if this can be ask for a repair using the warranty. Any ideas?
