Would you recommend the LG G3?

It's a great phone. Not a lot of flaws. No reason not to pick one up if you found a good deal and the phone suits your needs.
 
If size is not a big concern (pun intended) the Note 4 is a better device IMO due to better camera, display and battery life.

If size is a big concern, the G3 is still a good option. I am just not a fan of the display due to contrast, power efficiency and the gpu pushing Qhd.

Everything else though is nice. LG even did a great job with hiding the annoying navigation bar from hogging display space.
 
Hey people after looking for a while at different phones im thinking to get the g3 as i have found a really cheap deal for it much cheaper even than many of last years phones! So all of you who have the g3 what are your thoughts and opinions?
Ive read mainly positive things so far. So any advice and thoughts greatly appreciated.

I love mine. Great screen and battery life, no issues with performance, and should be getting Lollipop fairly soon too. Camera takes good pics and the slow motion video can be fun! After I got mine, my buddy traded in his Verizon HTC One for a G3 on T-Mobile two weeks later.
 
My G3 has been a joy to use since day one when it was released. Absent of any faults, theres nothing but good things to say. Compact fast and light it's a winner.
 
Hi all , thinking of getting the g3 next when I upgrade next month , I would like a white one but been told by a few people that they easily get marked and dirty , does anyone own a white one and if so does dirt get in the grain on the back cover or is it smooth ? Does it generally get dirty quicker , help me choose people lol , cheers , Dave
 
Avoid the circle case if you want a scratch-free display. same problem happens on S-View Note cases. dirt gets between the flip cover and the screen and hashes it all up. I don't think the G3 has Gorilla Glass like the Samsung Galaxy devices do, so it takes very little time to see those pock marks. it doesn't affect the display when in use, but is obvious with the device in sleep.

Other than that my LG G3 has held up reasonably well under the work conditions its in. i'm quite happy with it. battery life is amazing and has all but bested the one in the iPhone 5S. it never lags, never reboots itself, and i have no app crashes (although if i do manually reboot it i do get a VZWAVSERVICE crash dialog on start, but nothing is affected so i dismiss it)

The only gripe i have at all is the position of the buttons is an ergonomic nightmare. i have to keep turning the phone over to find the power button most of all, since i almost always hit volume up/down by mistake. i have also many times triggered camera mode or screenshot mode by mistake while it's in my pocket, leading to tons of blank images of my pocket in the gallery.
 
Excellent but does anyone own a white one and if so does it mark easily and get dirty easily ?? Ta
 
Another question i was looking to get 16gb model not 32gb i wouldnt be storing loads of things on the phone so wouldnt really need the memory but is the 2gb ram enough does everything work nicely?

Also the external memory card is just the usual micro sd?
 
I have the black model, didn't think the white one looked all that great. kinda shows the bezels too much for me.

I wanted the gold one but apparently it's Sprint exclusive and i'm on Verizon.

Yes, it uses the standard MicroSD card, and, in standard fare, you need to remove the battery and the slot is right above the MicroSIM card slot. since it involves removal of the cover for access, i'd recommend a large capacity card so you're not swapping it in and out that much.
 
I went from S3 to G3 and the response and battery life along with camera resolution are fantastic.
My son has a S4 and the camera is better, but the response seems to be the same.
Probably a personal preference.
 
The G3 and S3 are generations apart. One could claim the iPhone 6 Plus is superior to the Samsung Galaxy S3, and be correct.
 
My work issued iPhone 6 Plus reminds me just how much I appreciate the Android platform with it's plethora of features and benefits that simply don't exist in iOS.

What I really like about my LG G3 are the buttons on the backside. A brilliant layout that's delightful to use, I do wish my Nexus 6 was built that way. After months of heavy usage my G3 is still going strong, it's a very impressive model.

I've got an N5, plus a G2 that's almost ready for an upgrade on the Next Plan. I've been looking at the G3, and i like it a lot. Since AT&T lowered the phone's price, it's become very attractive, and i've been seriously considering it. I just need some feedback from former G2 owners, about some of the phone's features. Does the led still do a "double blink" when a notification comes in? Are the stock msg & email apps as good as they are on my G2? Finally, if i put all my notification tones on the ext. sd card, will they still show up when i want to change a "stock" tone for one of mine? Thanks for any help.:p
 
I just traded my G2 in last night (best phone ever made in my opinion -- aka best phone I've every owned) for a G3. It closely resembles the G2 in most ways, but I found they took away most of the personality the G2 had (I miss the ring tones and notifications tones that weren't ported over from the G2 --"You've got mail" and the "Life is Good" song with dialogue).

My LED notification only blinks once every five seconds or so (can't find a way to change this setting) and I find the colors aren't as striking and bright as my G2 (I have the gunmetal black G3 and had the white G2, so maybe that makes a difference in how the LED colors "pop").

The built-in e-mail app and messaging app seem to have most of the options the G2 versions had (the messaging themes are the same I think). They seemed to have hidden the Q-Slide icon on the e-mail app (you have to go to settings to click it).

Battery life is killer like the G2 which is what I was looking for. It's not scientific, but I've been off of the charger for nine hours and I still have 75% battery after making some phone calls, texting, downloading apps, Twitter, and Facebook.

But, yeah. It is drastically cheaper than other flagship phones right now so I couldn't resist ($448 at T-Mobile).

Maybe this will help. I use AquaMail for email, and TextraSMS for texting. Both apps have very bright colors that you can choose for notifications. I use their bright green color, and i can see the led light up from across the room(no lie). I'm not using LiteFlow at all.:p
