Would you sell your X if Verizon gets the Nexus S?

I looked at the specs for the Nexus S and to me it looks like a sideways/slight step down from DX. Even though it comes with a decent amount of memory out of the box, there is no SD card slot- what???

I'm going to hold out until the Droid X2 (X squared?) comes out, or something just as good: 4.3-4.5 screen w1280x800 or better resolution, GB or HC OS, dual core 1.5-2.0 GHz stock processor, etc...

Till then I'm gonna be happy with the DX - best phone on the planet!:D

I seriously considered what I'd do if Verizon ever got a vanilla "Google phone."

I would be very tempted. In the end, though, the lack of an SD card slot on the Nexus S, and the GPS problems, will steer me away from it.

The DX is pretty close to a perfect piece of hardware. The build quality, noise cancelling microphones, great screen, hard buttons, camera button, relatively tiny extended battery and superb radios... all add up to a really nice device. I like the curved screen of the Nexus S, the 4" screen size, and the camera/audio hardware is better. Can I build my own with a combination of the two? :D

No.

It's going to take a SIGNIFICANT upgrade to make me give up my Droid X. I don't even think the Thunderbolt will be enough. Besides, 4G probably won't be in my area until 2012 and I'll be eligible for an upgrade by then.

i'm not going to upgrade from my x until 4g is stable and available in buffalo, ny

also need big jump in processor speed

No way for now I will proly never see 4G I don't believe what verizon says about having their 3G foot print covered by " 13 ".

I wouldn't sell my X if VZW got the Nexus S. If my contract was up, I would probably consider it, but the "Thunderbolt" looks mighty interesting!

no for a few reasons.

1. its just a buffed up galaxy s

and

2. glossy feel all over, too slippery, cant stand the feel.

After having the great hardware on the X, I will never buy a plastic phone ever again. Metal body with the soft touch material just exudes luxury and quality to me. The plastics on the Fascinate and the Nexus S just scream cheap to me.

Hell No. I think Google could have done better than the Nexus S in the first place. Make the phone dual core with higher res display and 2.3 from the start for other phone manufactures to follow or exceed. The Verizon Etna/AT&T Olympus with unlocked bootloader should have been the Nexus S.
I want my next phone to make my DX look like crap. The same way my Droid X kills my old touch pro 2 and how that phone kills my old vx6900 (aka touch, aka toy calculator).
With CES being a week away I would really hold off on a new phone purchase if your hardcore. The Nexus S is just a lateral move in terms of hardware. Software/bootloader wise it does have an advantage.
