This thing is pretty amazing. I got a lot of funny looks at the store, the "that's a huge sucker" kind of looks, but I was kind of expecting that. My sole purpose is to ditch any tablets as I'm tired of carrying them around. I'm still struggling with the size, but I may just keep my iphone as my primary phone and put the Note 2 on my mobile share plan to be used primarily as a tablet, dunno I haven't decided yet.

Pretty amazing device so far though.

After about a day, the Note 2 started looking normal size. Everything is just tiny now. Galaxy S3? Why do people like this small phone? :D

I'm not sure about taking phone calls on it yet. It feels very large against my head, and it seems you have to "aim" the earpiece just right or you can't hear the other person very well.

It's a big phone I don't get how people didn't know this if you know you have small hands why even get it

I'm just making conversation you know. I've actually got large hands and can fairly comfortably hold it with one hand. I especially love the feature they have where you can slide your keyboard and phone dialer towards your hand in one hand mode, very thoughtful of Samsung.

I am still a bit concerned about the earpiece though, kind of reminds me of some of the old windows mobile phones which had directional earpieces that you had to aim just right to get sound into your ear. I'll have to play with it a bit more.

Don't mind me I'm just pissed I didn't get mines yet :( congrats and don't worry you will get use to it

Get a Bluetooth headset. Trust me, once you do you'll never go back to holding a phone to your head again. I'm particularly fond of the jawbone era but there are plenty to choose from.

I've tried BT headsets for years and years and never found one that worked well, although I haven't tried any in the past year or so. I just can never hear the other person very well if there is any amount of noise of if I'm in the car, and voice output is usually not great as well either. Last headset I owned I think was the Jawbone 1, I think they are on what their 3rd or 4th generation?

Guess I'm old fashioned I like the phone against my ear. But I do travel a lot to NY/NJ and phone + car is a big no no. The iphone was easy to hide under my hand, but this guy is going to be impossible to hide lol.

I got my marble white Note 2 from AT&T today as well and LOVE IT. I've had every iPhone since they came out and was so happy to ditch the iPhone for the Note 2.

Spinedoc, I highly recommend you get the Samsung flip case for your Note 2. The one that replaces the back panel and has the microfiber front panel (on the inside). For me this case seems to make the phone seem SMALLER rather than just carrying it around with the screen exposed.

For me the Note 2 replaces my need to ever carry a tablet anywhere. It's big enough to run the Kindle app nicely for reading and it's a web surfing/video watching/game playing dream come true.

Mobile devices are no longer primarily "phones" as much as they are LIFESTYLE DEVICES. Most people spend more time writing/reading/surfing/consuming media/etc. than they do using a mobile phone to talk. I predict in the near future almost everyone will have a thin large screen device like the Note 2 on them at all times. It just makes so much sense.
