Root Wow! My Desire is now running on Android 2.3.3 (Gingervillian 1.8)

Lol My mate will be annoyed. I just added 1.8 on her Desire! Im guessing its not really worth updating?

Not really. The most noticeable change is the addition of A2SDGUI which is a nice front end for DT A2SD, but is also available in the market.

There are a couple changes to the default kernel as well, but I can't comment as I don't use it.

Battery performance seems not up to the mark. Yesterday I checked that Battery level goes down to 50% while using only voice call of about 60 minutes. I plugged off the charger at 6:30am (when battery was 99%) and the battery level was 50% at 3:00pm. Is it normal?

That does seem steep but it would be hard to say definitively. The current draw caused by your antenna during that 60 min voice call would depend on the quality of the signal you had at the time, which in turn would affect how hard your phone had to work to stay connected. Things like trees, thick concrete walls, skyscrapers etc all affect a phone's wireless signal attenuation.

Keep an eye on it over a few more days doing what you consider to be average use and see what kind of drain you get.

If it's still high there are some low drain kernels around that you can try.

Staggers, what watch is that on the right hand of your avatar? I like watches. Need to know.

Quite nice. I like a good ole swiss watch. Was going to collect vintage ones before the recession hit

Can't beat the Swiss in the watch game.

Just realized that the avatar has it on the right hand tho. I'd never do that

Im so much of a rightie that my left hand is useless even at wearing a watch ;) it just feels alien to me.

well hate to poke a hole in your logic dan....buy normally, one doesn't often wear a watch on their hand but rather around their wrist, which last time I checked is still seperate from the whole 'hand' business :D;)

I have a 1964 Omega Seamaster, it was my Dad's, needs a new crystal other than that its in perfect working order. My Android doesn't have a watch only an internal time piece ;)

Excellent.

I've got a 1969 omega de ville. It's lovely. Since service, it keeps time excellently given its a manual wind. It's front opening though so the glass is actually plastic but its a really classy piece

Since this is suddenly a watch topic... :D I have a Timex Expedition Chrono.

Got a handful of non swiss watches but.not really exciting

Picture honestly does not do it justice.

Its cool too, cause its not metal, it actually is high tech ceramics. You can (and I have) take a scissor blade to the strap. It will not scratch. It will appear like it has, then it just wipes away. mental.
