idk if this was asked before but would it be possibly to port full wp7 to the triumph? the Triumph certainly has good enough specs to run it.

I always liked the simplicity of wp7 and I think it'd be awesome to have it on the triumph

would it be possible? and if not, why?

I doubt that we have any prebuilt drivers that would work on windows phone. And if that's the case, then I doubt anyone would want to sit and write their own drivers from scratch.

Bleh! Why would you want to run that horrible OS on this phone. I hate windows phone with a passion. Don't mean to sound mean.

To each their own. I actually wouldn't mind running it just to try it you know. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean other people don't like why do so many people buy iPhones that run iOS?

I can agree with that and again my bad for sounding harsh. If I could run iOS though I would be very happy :-)

At the risk of sounding, well, completely wrong, I think WP7 is built on a completely different platform than Android. The software would have no idea what to do with the hardware and vice-versa. MS wrote their own language to run WP7, and I'm sure it doesn't run on the friendly Linux-based platform we all know and love.

And that is why android runs on WP7... Hmmm. It actually would be able to work on android hardware I believe Windows Phones still use the arm architecture. It would be possible to get it working I suppose like how ios is getting ported, but it would take someone with a lot of coding experience to get everything up and running.

WP7 will never be available for the Triumph.. Sorry. In all honesty, as much as I dislike iOS, I would prefer an iOS port to a WP7 port. Simply for the App Store.

Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry OS, and webOS. Sorry to break it to you, Android tops them all, no need for other OS ports.
