I use samsung kies to sync my new samsung captivate with my PCs. The sync is seamless and it works perfect. I have noticed one small issue. The song information (like album art etc.) in Kies application on my PC is accurate for all songs. However, after i transfer the songs to captivate the information looks different / inaccurate. I don't understand why this is happening. An example: I have a Pat Benetar song (we belong) having Pat Benetar album art. But, the same album art is applied to Tom Petty and Heatbreakers songs such as Free Fallin' etc. :) This is kind of hilarious but can anyone tell me why this is happening? When i see the songs within Kies application, the album arts look correct. Can someone help me understand this issue and possibly a solution to fix this. Thanks

I didn't notice any problems with the album art using either Kies or MediaMonkey. The advantage with MediaMonkey (latest version) is that it creates a new folder (music) and syncs all the mp3's to that folder. Kies syncs to the media folder. The other thing I noticed is that MediaMonkey apears to be much faster in doing the transfers.

Download mp3Tag software. Open up the music library you want to check.

The Song MUST have an Album Name, or Samsung music player will use the first stored album image for that track, even if the correct album art shows up in the mp3Tag software.

Even though the Samsung music player looks better than the stock Android player, it does have a few bugs. :) That just happens to be one of them. I figured all this out last night wondering why 40 or so of my songs all had the save album cover.

@Baldilocks just one dumb question. What is stock android player? are you referring to the native media app in the android devices or are you referring to a specific player? thanks a lot

The Android music player is the player from the Nexus One. It's not very fancy but does what it's supposed to do.
Samsung removed that player and substituted their own.

I checked the songs that all have the same album artwork and like you said..all of 'em happen to lack album name. i will try to input album names and see what happens. Thanks again.
