Help Wrong image appearing in app drawer for widgets

I am getting the wrong image for widgets in the app drawer (see image - notice half a Starbucks widget for the Play Store and the Song Search instead of Power control).

If I place the widget the ghost image and the actual placed widget are fine, its just the image in the app drawer and its only widgets, never an app icon.

The ones that are wrong at the moment (mainly Google apps but it has been other apps in the past) will stay wrong for a while, its not like the wrong ones change after a reboot or a reboot sorts it.

Is there cache / app data I can clear to force the images to be regenerated?

Nexus 4 phone, with Android 4.4 (But has happened in 4.3 but don't recall it ever happening with 4.2), Never seen this happen on my Nexus 7 (2012)

4.4 Removed widgets from the app drawer, you running a ROM or Launcher..?? If so, what..??

EDIT: Sorry I forgot that the 4.4 OTA update & factory image didn't change that...GEL did.

No its stock 4.4, all the widgets are still there after the apps just like before, you can jump straight to the first page with pressing "widgets" word at the top or swipe to them after the apps.

As far as I can tell the app drawer on 4.4 for a Nexus 4 is the same as before its only the Nexus 5 that has any changes.

It is the same unless you install the Google Experience Launcher from the Nexus 5. It takes a little getting used to, but it might be worth a try if it fixes your problem...and since it's just a launcher it's easy to switch back & forth.
I think the N4 will get this sooner or later anyway, it just needs a little tweaking on the widget sizes.

Totally stock here and the icon images in the app drawer are all fine.

I do get random images appearing in the music player (I think) wherever the song (usually podcast) doesn't have a related image. Can't say it actually bothers me.
