Help Wrong Text Message Comes Up

Hey all,

Often I'll go to send a text message to someone I've previously done to, so I'll click on "Messages" on my home screen then the list of all my previous conversations comes up like it should.

Now quite often when I select the person I want to send a message to it'll bring up the entirely wrong contacts conversation. And it's not even that the one it brings up is anywhere near the one it was suppose to bring up. It could be at the bottom of the list and the one I click on is at the top under "new message".

For example. If I click on say "John" who I have a conversation history with it will bring up "Sarah" instead. So then I have to back out and do it again then it works.

Anyone have this problem or know of a solution? I've heard of some similar issues with the Nexus One, but I can't seem to find anything about the Desire.

It's a known issue. It's been common since 2.2 I think?

An excellent question. I assume they will send out an update sometime.....until then...be careful who you send what to haha

Still ongoing - last update only 5 hours ago. Still no closer to a resolution.

Sounds similar, however I can see the person even if it's the wrong one. Like the "Wrong" persons conversation screen comes up so I know it's the wrong one before I even start typing or send it. Or is it the same thing ?
