WTF Am I doing wrong with my nandroid restore?

Nevermind, I fixed it by running an older nandroid.

HIGH FIVE! :D

Ok, I flashed Fresh 2.3.3 and then realized I needed to screen cap everything from my old 2.1.2 so that i can easily put everything back in it's proper place.

Everytime I restore the nandroid backup on my SD card it's still running fresh 2.3.3! I didn't even MAKE a nandroid of 2.3.3 so what the hell is the problem?

After it didn't work normally...I started trying to wipe:
I've rebooted into recovery and wiped data/factory reset, when i try to wipe dalvik and/or sd:ext it tells me to wipe them from ADB

GAH!

Also, be aure you have enough space on your SD card. I have received this error and moving some older nandroids to my laptop fixed it.

You won't be able to wipe ext unless you have partitioned your sd card.

I think I read on XDA that if you have too many nandroids on your SD that it can cause that to happen also.

Yea, After I restored that nandroid a minute ago i deleted the other 2 that were on my SD card... I just got a 4GB MSD card and just moved everything from my 2GB and i haven't put anything extra on it yet except for 2.3.3 so i have plenty of room.

In all seriousness... I think I wasn't paying attention and created a nandroid of my newest install instead of restoring a nandroid, because i only remember having 2 nandroids on my SD card and there were 3 when i went in to look at it. Which could've been the reason it kept restoring the 2.3.3 backup. Stupid oversight on my part, but whatever... I think i got it all figured out now, I'm flashing 2.3.3 again. I'll post my progress in a moment.

also, if you have recovery 1.5.2 you'll get that same error when wiping davlik. upgrade to recovery 1.6.2 to fix it

I'll do a search for that right now, but if you wanna gimme a quick breakdown on how to do that it'd be really really appreciated, thanks.

How do i check to see which recovery image i'm running right now? Maybe I'm already running the newest one...

I can't find the DL for 1.6.2, can someone link me? Also, i can't find where it tells you how to flash the new recovery onto the phone if you already have one. Is it in the original rooting thread or the one for 2.1?

the original rooting guide should have a link as well as instructions

If it's there, i can't find it... just 1.5.2

can't find the instruction either.

sorry... thought for sure that 1.6.2 was added..
