wtf my text messaging does work?

Alright guys u know how important texting is now a days and mine got messed up I nwas sending my friend a youtube link througth a text anf then my phone says rthe application messaging (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectadly please try again. I tried everything I even pulled out the battery for 5 minutes and the same thing keeps happening. What can I do?

well at least someone tell me how to completely do a soft reset of the phon e or something.

Try download handcent sms app. It's a lot better. Or wait to get the update, you should see it in less then 2 days.

Hard Reset is as follows.

Turn off the Motorola Droid.
Press the Power Key and the "x" on the Keyboard (not Touchscreen Keypad) at the same time to power on and bring up the Recovery Screen.
Press the Volume Key (Volume Up) and Camera Key at the same time to show the Recovery Menu or Volume Up then Camera key.
Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset"
Select "Reboot Phone"

^^ FYI thats a master reset to wipe your phone.

for soft reset, do a bettery pull or hold down the power button til the option to power off comes up
