Help WTF ! Package Acces Helper using up CPU and Battery !

Thaopyon

Lurker
This problem happened yesterday my phone got extremely hot. I went to the battery stats and found that Package Access Helper was using 29% - 35% of my battery.

I got alot of alerts from watchdog about the package access helper using up my CPU

I searched around and there are people who had similar problems that i have . I found out it was a Service app that had something to do with installing and uninstalling apps. So i killed the app and tried installing something from the Google App store and the app i downloaded was stuck at the "Downloading..." stage

I turned my cell off and on multiple times but it didnt fix the problem. Can anyone help me ? This problem appeared randomly ?_? i dont even mess around with my phones settings. :/

EDIT:
I did what Frisco told. But after waiting for it to calculate 10-15 min i finally pressed the Clear cache button and nothing happened.
Something mysterious happened there is something called com.rootuninstaller.bat.. using 9% of my battery dafuq !?

Hello Thaopyon. Stopping an app that assists in the download process, and then attempting a download will garner the results you describe, "...stuck at downloading..."

Now it's time to clear caches via Application Manager in Settings on everything and reboot your device. If that does not remedy the issue, it is time for a factory data reset to get the services all lined up properly, etc.

I am trying to clear caches but it takes forever it keeps "Computing" and Package Access helper is now using 40% of my Cpu and it keeps on going up x_x
