Everytime I click the USB Storage button my OV restarts

I want to do the Link2SD thing cause Im down to 23mb, buuuuuuut I obviously cant do that if i can connect my phone to the computer haha



I guess i can do the recovery work around, but if anyone can help me fix this issue that would be rad cause booting back and fourth can get annoying im sure.

Workaround didnt work, using CWM v4.0.1.5
Selected Mounts and Storage, then selected mount USB storage and got this error
E:Unable to open ums lunfile (no such file in directory)


EDIT2: ooooooooops..... somehow my SD card got wiped..... lameeeeeeeeeeeeeee.... everything gone :/

Right so I made a partition using cwm, downloaded most of what i lost, the partition worked and I was moving and linking all the apps I just downloaded to the partition. Read in the guide to restart, and I did.
Now almost all of what I just downloaded is gone AGAIN. Out of 47 apps I got maybe 20 or 30 back only to have 5 after rebooting my phone..... Wtf is going on

Try reformatting your uSD card in your computer.
Before doing this transfer all data to a folder on your computer.
While it's mounted in the computer, right click the SD card icon in the Start/Computer directory. Select the format option. Select the reformat to default settings. This will take a while, get something to eat, watch a TV show.

When done put back in phone and go to settings/storage. select the erase SD card option.

Thoroughly check out the card to phone interface to make sure everything is working properly.

If everything checked out then make a 1-2GB partition depending on the size of your uSD card. There are three ways to make the partition:

1. In the advanced section of the recovery there is an option to partition the uSD card. It will only format this partition to ext.3,which will only work with the ICS ROM's (is required), which have a Link2SD like function built in.

2. Download the Android SDK, Java6 JDK, QtADB. Install properly (QtADB requires you to have a ClockworkMod recovery or it's variant installed). In QtADB there is an option that will allow you to partition the SD card and choose FAT32, ext.2, ext.3, or ext.4.
Even if you choose to partition with the next way to partition, QtADB is very, very useful and would be a good idea to install. The Android SDK and the Java6 JDK should also be installed.

3. Download and install Mini Tool Partitioning Wizard (can be found on CNET). There is a nice help section that shows you how to get everything done.

NOTE:
1. FAT32 will work for all ROM's but the ICS. The other format ext's you have to experiment with as they do not work for every ROM.
2. FAT32, ext.2. and ext.4 work with all of the Gingerbread ROM's.
3. The best ClockworkMod recoveries for are phone and the ROM's we have (with the exception of some of the older Froyo ROM's) are the BobZohme modified ClockworkMod recovery (VM670NH_recovery.img) and the Touch Screen recovery.

If your still having problems with your SD card, try putting in a different one. If this fixes the problem the uSD card is bad. If it doesn't............the phone is defective.
