Help WTF with my Tethering?!

I'm rooted with recovery and I'm running liquid smooth. Whenever I try to tether my ps3 for Netflix my 3g symbol will turn white (normally blue) and then randomly will drop 3g for like 5 seconds, then come back on. It keeps repeating this. Why? I would also like to add that its only with my ps3 that its done this so far.

What app are you using for tethering?

I'm not using an app I'm just using whatever came with the rom. Its wifi tethering I'm not sure if I can USB tether with the ps3
