Accessories X, Car dock, and body glove

Will the X fit in the car port if its in a bodyglove case? Any ideas from you east coasters who may have one?
 
I read in another thread that the car dock has an insert that can be removed if your X has a cover on it. This is what I'm gonna look into.
 
There is an insert and if you look at the back of the insert when you pull it out it says "For use with the Motorola Shadow (remove when using genuine Motorola protective case)"
 
I have the VZW "carbon fiber" case and can confirm that it does not fit in the car dock, even with the insert removed.

And I have the body glove, and can confirm it will not fit either. :( Must need a fairly thin cover. My daughter has the silicone cover for hers, I may try it out later when I can reel her in...
 
Well I went ahead and ordered the cover with a kick-stand with mine, I figured I'd just sell it on ebay if it didn't work, it would be cool if you could get back to us about the silicon cover.

Yeah, I've got the High Gloss Silicone and it will not fit with the adapter removed.

Anyone know where the genuine Motorola protective case can be found?

Strange- my daughters hot pink silicone case fit, although it was a tight one.
 
The Seidio Innocase II Surface is pretty thin - it's not out for the X until July 20-25 (they said) but I'd be eager to hear whether that one fits....Seidio will also make a car dock to fit its cases, I heard. Nothing like more rumors to keep us happy!
 
Yesterday a Verizon store employee and myself tried out every case they sold with the car dock (minus the insert).

The only case that would allow the phone to go in the dock was the soft rubber type silicone case. And that was a tight fit.
