Root (X-post) Aggrrrrrvated- need to unroot

Momomuffins

Newbie
(Sorry...I posted this in a thread for how to unroot but meant to make it a new post...so this is the actual new post)

-- HOW TO unroot is not the problem...more info is below

What The Problem is/ What I Can't Do:
-----> Once booted into recovery, no option will work there...can't even select to Power Down. When I select any option in the list, all I get is a black screen with the CWMod Icon. If I tap the power button, the CWMod list of options re-appears, but I have to pull the battery to get back in a regular bootable state. I'm needing to run the .zip on the SD card to get S-ON again so I can eventually run the .zip to unroot. Since I can't even select to "install a .zip from your SD card" I can't proceed.

A friend was playing with my phone yesterday and selected to install Lithium (I had been running Uncommon Sense since I rooted back in Dec.) without my permission thinking it was "just a theme" and without the adequate knowledge of installing ROMs. My last Titanium Backup was last week and thankfully it's on my PC. Anyway, I got my phone back in hand completely wiped of ALL my apps including ROM Manager and Titanium. The market app keeps force closing so I can't get in there to redownload anything AND I can't recover any data :mad: WTF did she do???

My Environment:
* Rooted SLCD Incredible (used Unrevoked3 Dec 2010)
* Running LithiumNG-0.0.5-Incredible ROM
* Android OS v2.2.1
* Radio 2.15.00.07.28
* Debugging is enable (if it matters)

**If anymore info is please let me know. I'm at work and not sure if I left anything out. Thanks a ton in advance!

To unroot:

I'd try reflashing clockwork from rom manager, select the option in the preferences of rom manager to "erase recovery before flashing". Then flash it at least 3 times.

Edit: see you already found the unroot thread.

ROM Manager doesn't exist on my phone anymore. I can't re-download it either because the market app keeps crashing before it will even open. If I could get into the market I wouldn't even be bothering with all of this because I could just restore my titanium backup and be done.

Then you'll have to download clockwork from cyanogens website and flash in hboot.

Or just proceed with the unroot without s-on. Then reroot.

I've been is such freak-out mode I totally forgot you can download apps to your phone from the market online on a computer. Gah...so I got my Titanium back....it was your comment that reminded me so I thank you a billion million times :o Now I can restore my life back and screw around with the S-ON and unrooting later....phew....thanks again

No problem, flashing clockwork through rom manager a few times should fix your issue.

RM is showing still installed, but so was Titanium so I clicked install again (all this from the web market) and it's not hitting my phone so I rebooted the phone after waiting several minutes and still nothing. Titanium came back almost immediately...coverage is perfect here =/ hmmm...

Have you taken the SD card out and put it back in? Sounds trivial I know but maybe she knocked it loose or something....or unseated it....therefore losing all the data on that card till the card is reseated...

Instead of using power button to select in Clockworkmod, try using the joystick. It worked for me. Took a couple of reboots to clear everything, but it seems to be fine now.
