Root X10 Questions

Hi I just purchased a sony xperia x10 (x10a) from bestbuy. This is my first android phone. I was wondering what the deal is with the 2.1 update, I've searched around a bit but most threads date back to early to late november. Where can I get the update, or when is it coming out?

Also what are some good apps for it? I have the advanced task killer app, but would like to know if there is a good keyboard for it, and maybe a different theme compared to the sony layout?

If you've searched around you should have come across where and how to get it. Download and run seus and the chances are you will get it. As for apps, task killers aren't really needed any more as the battery life has been significantly increased.

Not if your on AT&T most likely im sure you will not be able to update to 2.1 as AT&T has yet to roll out 2.1 and theirs no telling when this will happen as every time we ask we just get a bunch of B.S.

Now if you want to update anyway you can flash your phone which will void your warranty but i think its well worth it.You can flash back to the old version or switch when the new one comes out should you break something.

Thanks for the reply, and yes I'm on at&t. I think I'm going to wait for the official update for now, I was told it should be out something in January or February. If it's not out by then I'll probably end up rooting it.

Ok i wouldnt get your hopes ups though AT&T has lied before.
