This thread is for a really basic tell us where you are, what carrier and what firmware number you got.

got the upgrade notification on monday morning, around 1:30AM. Upgrading now; I'm using Mobile Vikings in Belgium.

Update: well, the upgrade notification was not for the long expected 2.1 upgrade, but the minor update on 1.6. However it made me curious enough to take the shortcut and force it into 'Norway-version' after rooting, upgraded to 2.1 , rooted again to correct my keyboard layout to azerty.
Had to re-install a bunch of applications, but so far do not regret the upgrade...

I live in Albania,but the mobile was bought is Sweeden.

got my 2.1 update in singapore, not on automatic update via SEUS, but through Sony Ericsson Service Center. Now, im getting used to it and still exploring other features....

hey dude, I am also from Australia, x10 mini pro virgin mobile. Still can not update with either Update Service or PC Companion. Any idea? Please help !!!

got a message this morning OTA. Wouldn't download, so connected to PC Companion. Update completed fine. 2.1.

The update became available on T-Mobile UK on Tuesday.

The backup and restore doesn't actually save your applications it just notes what apps you have and then downloads them again when you restore after the update.

This means that you're getting the latest version of the apps and the correct versions for 2.1 but the downside is that you have set up your preferences and any login info again for each app.

It missed some applications. It didn't prompt me to download Gemini calendar or ADW launcher. It also didn't save my ADW launcher settings.
