Help X10 Wallpaper Problem...

Hi Guys.

I want to set a portrait picture of me & my gf as my wallpaper. But when i come to set it, it only allows me to choose a limited area.

How can i bypass it or fix the picture so i can have the full picture as my wallpaper?

Many Thanks in advance

Not sure if you know this or not, but when you select a picture to be your wallpaper, it gives you a small area to select (which you know) but that area can be adjusted by moving the borders of the yellow box. Have you tried this? I know for most of my pics, the box can be expanded in such a way that it encompasses the vast majority of the picture. Hope this helps!

Hi, Yes i do know that. But because its a portrait picture. once it gets to the sides of the picture. it wont let you go down to add more of the picture.

thats because it can only set a wallpaper with the similar dimensions to what the box is, otherwise you'd end up with black bars at the side instead of an image

similar to the way older 4:3 tv programs look on 16:9 widescreen tvs now

nothing you can do about it

This is one of the muck ups of the design of Android Phones.
Someone should produce a free wallpaper editor to allow a single photo to be in the middle of the wallpaper.

As someone told me before, keep it at 480x854, expand canvas to 960x854 but you need a launcher to disable the wallpaper scrolling
