X2 crashes like mad

I originally had a Samsung Fascinate and after 3 replacements Verizon sent me an X2. The first X2 crashed at random about 2 - 5 times a day, so I got another replacement and this one crashes like 15 times a day. It is extremely annoying. I have no task killers besides the stock one. I do not root. Everything is completely stock. It has the newest 2.3.5 update. I never drop it or anything. What could be wrong? Is it just an X2 problem or...? I was thinking about just buying a Samsung Stratosphere because we just got 4G LTE where we live. Thanks

seems to a problem, I've never been on stock, more than a few hours with my X2
try rooting and flash eclipse or cm7, way more stable, and less lag

Yeah, that's a string of bad luck there. If you haven't rooted, then take the device back. The X2 just doesn't usually do that.

And I got a Strat after my X2 for the keyboard and 4g. It's definitely a downgrade. The Strat does actually crash from time to time. The keyboard is nice, and 4g is cool, but the phone just feels... not right. Mine, and lots of other people all suffer from random phone reboots. Plus, it's feels a little sluggish. After a while I rooted it and did some tweaking to improve it, but I never did get it to the point where it felt solid like my X2 does.

Agreed with scur. I'm not sure how much you paid for it but I'd definitely return it and see if you can't get a better one. See if you have the option to get a bionic at least.

Thats funny. Today I gave up with the x2 and its crap and got a strat. Yeah I can feel the single core but I live I'm traverse city and we just got 4g so its definitely worth it. I love the keyboard. It hasn't crashed on me yet. I do feel like I have another fascinate tho, but honestly I like it better than the x2.

i've seen several complaints about X2s rebooting several times a day
but that has not been my experience, other than some lag, it has worked well

With CM7 and Eclipse there is hope and stability with this phone. I've been using CM9 alpha 5 for the last 2 says and I dare say it's good enough as a daily driver. It has crashed/rebooted twice but that's to be expected. They are working on cracking the kernel so that will improve the ROMS even further.
