Help X2 restarts itself

For some reason my Droid X2 has restarted itself twice today, both times while charging. this is my second X2. the last one was overheating and verizon replaced it with this one straight out of the box.

when it restarts itself im not even using it. the usb mode is charging only. its not hot and theres barely anything running. WTF!!?? i like the phone but this is kind of a problem. anyone else having this issue? does anyone elses X2 just randomly restart?

I haven't had that problem with it restarting. The overheating as stated elsewhere in the forum is because of Flash player. I have noticed this too when browsing with flash, that's the only time it overheats for me. Hopefully Motorola will fix this in the next update.

this same issue has plagued the orginial X

and somehow with adding new roms, it eventually went away.

you may just need to give it some time

It has happened to me a few times as well, including today.

Mine has done it about 4 times in the week I've had it. And 3 of those times it was on the desktop dock.

Mine has done it once so far (I bought it today). I got a text and, when I looked over at my phone, it was shutting down.

Yeah crashing and some overheating a little. Not yet enough for me to take it back. Oh well. If the Thunderbolt had dual core, I would've gotten that.

I actually spoke to Verizon last night and they verified it as a "known issue" with some Droid X2s. Take the Tier 2 rep for what its worth, but hopefully they are truly aware of it and make corrections to the device or software as needed.
