Help X2 will not play large videos

I have ripped my movies to 720P 3mbps and most of the movies are between 2.1-2.5GB. They play fine on my IPAD2 and my Droid Charge, but if I put them on the X2 it says they can not be played. Is there some limitations of the X2?

I would have said video or audio codec issue, but if they work on the Charge they should work on the X2.

Thats is what i though and I downlaoded various video players including mobo which has its own codecs and can do soft decoding. It almos either is a 3mbps thing or the size of the file. I am going to try and encode a 720p at 2mb to see, but I really want all my rips to be 3mbps since I stream them to the TV via my ROKU (for now) using Chaneru and the play fine there and via itunes (known to be the most picky).

So they don't play at all, or just choppy? Encode bitrate shouldn't prevent outright playing (at least i wouldn't think so).

They do not play at all, message comes up and says can not play file. Same file plays on my Droid Charge, iPad2 and computer and even on my Roku with Chaneru. The bitrate is 3mbps and 1280x720 MP4 H.264 with 160kbps AAC audio. I even reformatted the SD card thinking maybe something was up with it. Not real interested in re-encoiding since they play on all my devices except the X2. At this point I'm wondering how much video I will actually watch on my phone and even so I may stick with the Charge and dump the X2.
