Help X8 freezing PC while tethered

I have recently started using my X8 tethered to my PC for Broadband. The PC has frozen on a number of occasions requiring a reset via the PC reset button. Is this because the PC USB port is not providing enough power to the phone? The phone charger is rated at 850mA while a PC USB hub only supplies 500mA. my Ipod never causes a problem however and I would expect that it draws as much current as the X8.

its not about the mah ,,, you can USE THE OTHER USB PORTS
OR YOU CAN WIFI TETHERE
