Help XE entering dock mode when not docked ....

..... as per the title , i must have done something but i cant work out what , its annoying entering dock mode when i dont want it to

For going in dock mode the phone has to "see" a coding on the dock's microUSB plug (bridging pins 4&5 with a resistance).
So you might look for dirt on the phone's microUSB connector.

But you can prevent the phone going automatically in dock modus (when the phone is in a dock):
Start the stock app 'Dock Mode' go to Settings and uncheck 'Automatically ....'

There was a.similar issue on the DesireHD entering car mode it turned out to be the USB plug on the bottom as harry2 said
Cpw swopped my handset and I never had the problem again
