Help Xoom Native Email App

J^2

Lurker
Does anyone know how to maintain your inbox folder hierarchy in the native email app? I really like the UI in the native app but it puts all my folders into one list sorted alphabetically. Totally useless. I'm using touchdown but I don't like the UI on the tablet nearly as much as the native email app.

Strange that hasn't happned to me. The emails s are listed in the order they come in. Maybe its to do with the account its with. E.g. with me hotmail works fine because its adapted to update hotmail from mobile.

I was referring to the foldering only. The folders are pulling from Outlook through my exchange server.

im on exchange 2003 SP2 and the folders are listed alphabetically on all of the devices i use. are you saying you want your folders to be in alphabetical order and they are not or do you have some other scheme going on?

I would like them listed in the order they appear in outlook or at least maintain the hierarchy. For example, I am in the construction industry. I manage anywhere from 20 to 30 jobs at once. I have a folder for the email for each job and sub folders such as "subcontractors", "change orders", etc. When I look at the folders on my xoom through the native app, if I scroll down to where subcontractors would fall alphabetically, there will be several folders. One for each instance that I have a sub folder of a job folder. There is no way for me to tell what folder I want to put the email into. Touchdown maintains the folder hierarchy with an expanding tree so I can use my foldering system. We are using exchange 2008 or 2010 (not sure where we are on the upgrade). My droid X maintains the folder hierarchy with an expanding tree similar to touchdown. Maybe this is something they will carry over to 4.X if it ever rolls out.
