Xoom now listed on Amazon

I pre ordered early last week and my estimated arrival date is March 31 - April 4....usually AMZN gets my orders shipped before the est delivery date. I don't know why I feel like an impatient kid about this, it's for my wife not even me (I actually surf web w/my EVO a lot vs a laptop) but I want to get this thing. Anyone think I should cancel the order and just take a shot at Staples, Best Buy, etc on Sunday?

My gut feeling is that these guys under order, given how bad the stores are doing they want inventory lean. When I wnated the EVO I had to pre order it and wait I think a cpl weeks at Best Buy last June...

Or I guess I should just act like I'm 33 and wait for it...
 
Thought I would post this for anyone who cared to save a little money.

You can buy the Motorola Xoom (Wi-Fi version) for $599.00 at Amazon.com.

The kicker here is you can get their Super-Saver shipping for FREE and there is NO sales tax unless you live in (Kansas, Kentucky, New York, North Dakota, or Washington).

The shipping says 5 - 8 days but my Xoom is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow and is shipping from Texas going to Indiana. So it is only taking two days.


Anyway I hope this information helps save some people some money.

Just noticed Amazon has the Xoom now at $589, $10 price drop. Without tax and free shipping, it could be the best deal.

I contacted Amazon to see if they will match the price. The online chat agent won't honor it. So I called them. The agent also said they won't match if the price difference is not significant. But she gave me a $10 promotion discount in my amazon account. =)
 
Here's a chat I had with Amazon regarding the price drop:

Me:I purchased the Motorola Xoom Wifi and the price was reduced before I even received it in the mail.

CHHAVI:I am so sorry about this.

Me:It's frustrating that I am being penalised for preordering a product

CHHAVI:We only do the price match for $20 and above. So i cannot do the price match on this order however as a goodwill gesture i will issue $10 promotional credit on your account. You can use that credit in the future for further purchases.
I will send the email confirmation for the promotion.

Me:oh thank you

CHHAVI:Your welcome.
Is there anything else I can do for you today?
