Help xoom unsafe eject?

My PC recognizes my xoom as a portable device and doesn't let me eject it like a flash drive so since there is no eject option...is simply unplugging it safe? A flash drive should be "ejected" before disconnecting or else you risk losing all of your data.

ive had no issues "hot plugging" the xoom from a couple of computers.. one on old school XP and one on win7. for me and my environment, no issues at all.

Just saw a motorola xoom tutorial and they just hot plug it so it should be fine and if not you can point a finger
