Root xoom won't connect to rooted wifi on droid

I rooted andded garden wifi to my Motorola Droid. It works fine with my PC.I can't get my xoom to see it to connect it. Has the Motorola Co. Blocked it or what?.how can I fix this problem? Can somebody. Please help?...thanks....Mark

im sure this is a little late...but i have seen somewhere that the xoom cant pick up some connections...when we try to tether our phones to the wifi editions i guess our phones transmit a frequency that the xoom cant see because i have tried it too and i had no luck either unfortuantely.

For others having this problem, it's true, the wifi xoom (to the best of my knowledge) can't pick up an ad-hoc wifi broadcast (or whatever the OG Droid puts out, I forget the terminology).

I broadcast a Bluetooth connection from my OG D1 and then pair it with the Xoom, and that works great.
