Is there a dailer android app which I can install in my XOOM 3G? I understand its a tablet & making calls is not its primary function but is there a hardware limitation due to which a dialer is not present in XOOM ?
 
theres an app called fring.. it has a dialer.. and you can make calls via data.. theres also skype.. does the same thing
 
I really want a 10 inch Tablet that I can send text messages from and make calls from via a Bluetooth headset... I wouldn't even carry a phone around anymore if somebody would do this.

you can actually do it.. i think the European version of the 7" samsung tab has phone and text capabilities if im not mistaken... an unlocked one would provably work with att

Is there a dialer which uses the sim and not the data 3G connection - ..i.e. I want to make calls through a dialer with my 3G & wifi switched off.

i would get an unlocked european galaxy tab and use it with att (just make sure you get one with the right bands).. then you could make voice calls (not using data)
 
That is so awesome... I wish they made a CDMA version. Why in the world did they disable that for the US Release?! I would totally rock one of those with a Bluetooth headset under the condition it could also send text messages.
