Xperia play and ics.

It's necessary imo. If SE does bring ics to the PLAY, consumers will feel more confident in purchasing SE devices (because they support them well). If Sony takes over SE, this should be top on their "to do" list.

I hear they are suppose to bring ics to its "xperia line of phones". Dont remember which article but google it to see for yourself
 
TBH I would have beed shocked if SE didn't plan to roll out ICS considering they supported the X10 all the way up to 2.3.3. Glad I went with SE for my upgrade and not another HTC.
 
Sony Ericsson announced that all Xperia devices released in 2011 are supposed to be getting ICS, which would include the Play

Don't forget, Sony is a huge company, it's not just dealing in entertainment services, it also provides financial services such as insurance etc. ... yes I do agree that it should be top priority for the department working on phones ... but not as Sony as a whole ;)
