xperia play screen rotation !!

just wanted to know can you rotate screen on xperia play like the iphone closed .........as i got my xperia play recently and the screen does not rotate when its sideways ...etc

is this like that ...if it is i think its a bad piont for the phone ...?

There is an auto rotate setting in the display settings i belive.

yes there is but it only rotates one way !!

Because the screen only slides up one way. It is not an iPhone.

I just looked and Gmail rotates both ways.

The home screen does not rotate. You can get a home screen replacement like launcher pro which can rotate even with the slider closed.
