Help Xperia x10 + Spotify + car stereo = problem

My problem is as follow:
I got myself a new SonyEricsson Xperia X10 in the beliefe to be able to connect it to my Saab 93x

I did run my X10 through my home stereo using a 3.5mm jack to RCA/phono lead and I never had an issue with any unwanted noises. Try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, and does it make the same noise when you use the headphones or the phones speaker?

Off topic but I logged into spotify via my laptop once with it plugged into my stereo and my god does it make a huge bass tone as a confirmation that seemed to rattle the whole house!

Have you rooted?

I had a problem with Spotify after I rooted and after emailing the devs, they suggested that I use compatibility mode on spare parts.

If not, then sorry but I am clueless.

The only issue I had from rooting was the screen was only showing half the app???

I have HTC Desire with Spotify, listen via cable from headphone jack to AUX IN on my Alpine head unit - no clicks, no problem. I assume it doesn't happen when you listen to music from the regular Android player?
