Help Xposed Framework Issue

Is this your tablet?
Allwinner A33 V11 <---Link

If so, I'm having trouble finding any reliable info regarding rooting it or returning to stock. But, it's obviously possible (since it has the su binary installed) so I'll keep looking around

Interestingly enough, according to this link, it appears that this tablet comes pre rooted (But as we have discovered the su binary is wrong or old).

The same link also states that kingoroot will give you proper root access, but I have no experience with that app so I can't say if it's right for your situation. (IIRC, kingo installs more than just su and it's binaries)

@scary alien, do you have any experience with kingo?

Unfortunately, not...:(

I've also always been confused about the difference between Kingo and King Root and their variants...purposeful confusion in my opinion (along with all the uncertainty surrounding what is actually being installed when you use that tool).

edit: also, this post in that same thread indicates that vroot will work on this device:

Is this a root method you're familiar with? I hadn't heard of it before and a few posts down someone references malware and difficulty finding the app (which is why I didn't mention it)

It's rather troublesome. At least on the LG Leon, Kingo will brick your phone whilst King Root won't.

@Lordvincent 90, oh, I've heard of vroot (and lots of other XDA references of vroot, too), long before King(o) Root, etc., but never used it, either.

@Stephen_King, as always, read / research / understand what you're getting yourself into before rooting...I'd caution you that re-rooting your device is dangerous if you're dealing with apps and processes that you don't fully understand or know how to unwind yourself.

You should certainly consider taking time to to debate whether or not this really is the first step you want to take to possibly un-root your device...

Caveat emptor, of course.

To be honest, if I can't use the device for what I want then I'll probably not use it at all as I can use my phone or laptop for most things.

I'd like to try rooting it if I could but I'm or of my comfort zone and would need guidance

Regards
