Root Xrecovery restore problem

Hello,
I am currently having a problem with Xrecovery restore. I am doing the backup , all is in perfect order, but when I try to do "restore", I have a problem.
The error message that I receive is at the very beginning:
"Checking MD5 sums...
MD5 mismatch!" ...and it stops.

I used SEUS to restore to stock state, re-root, reinstall Xrecovery, did a back-up and tried again. And again a failed.
I looked onto the SD card, there are back-up files there, around 200 MB. But, that's all.
If anybody has an idea, I woud very much appreciate the help.

Nope, I did not do any modification.
Just selected backup, then after is done, i tried to do a restore.that's all.
And another thing: I tried now to do a factory reset from settings/privacy , hoping to get back to original state but guess what: after the reboot now I have the message "insert sim card". Meaning, I can use the menus in my phone, but I have no GSM connection (doesn recognize anymore the SIM Card ). And I still have a superuser icon...doesn't that suppose to go away after a factory reset?
I'll try now a complete restore to stock state with SEUS, to see if that will work or not :confused:

Try this...

First do wipe user data in xrecovery and than restore
 
Ok, thanks for the suggestion and for the help.

I did use the SEUS for "getting well after being sick:)". Now i'll do again:
-root : dit it, it's OK.
-Xrecovery (try to back-up and restore again. If even now it doens'nt work, I'll try to follow you suggestion)
-app2sd

I'll post how did it go in a few minutes.

I'm having problems with root explorer. Doesn't seem to manage to get superuser rights...
I tried 3 different versions from the internet..but no succes.

I'm amazed, because I managed to do this a few days ago..too bad for me that I don't rememenber exactly what I did then...

later edit: I somehow managed to get acces with root explorer, installed Xrecovery, tried to do a back-up, but the application freezed during system backup (at libnjaddress.so).
Nothing works to un-freeze..so i'll do it the hard way (get out the battery).
 
Ok...so this morning I did a fresh install with SEUS, root, installed root explorer (worked fine), copy the files from Xrecovery in /system/bin , gave them all the rights, installed app2sd...and I cannot acces anymore the Root explorer (doesn't give me the rights)...i'm a little stuck.

Today I'll try to install several applications, to see if app2sd work fine or not. :D

I'll return with a feed-back.
 
Is your micro SD card stock? Maybe it corrupts the archives made by xRecovery. I had this problem with a USB stick.
 
Nope, I had as stock a 2GB card. This one is a Kingston, 8GB, class 4.

As i am trying to use root explorer, i have a message saying that "superuser has granted acces to root explorer", and then I get the message "Restart App, root explorer has not yet managed to obtain root acces....etc"
 
I installed several applications, and it seems that app2sd is not installed (internal memory dropped from 141 MB to 104 MB).
Maybe here is the problem...
I'll investigate more, eventually I'll redo all the reflashing...and use the stock card.
I'll be back Friday with news. If anyone has any suggestions, they are welcomed!:)
 
Then enter Superuser and in the apps tab check if you disabled access permanently for them (when it asks if you allow access it has the "remember answer" chackbox. And if you didn't allow it one time, it remembered the answer.
 
nope, I checked YES, I'm sure...
I'll try with a 2 GB card, and see what happends.
Somehow, something is strange....

P.S: the next time I'll write in detail all the steps that I am doing from the very beginning, with "print screen" if I have to...
 
Ok, guess what? I put my 2 GB stock card and reflash, then root, then Xrecovery...and app2sd AND IT WORKED!!!
So, the mystery is solved, is my 8 GB card which had/has some problems, even I formatted and partitioned it after the tutorial found here.
Thanks to you all for your opinions and suggestions. :)

Anyway, I'll do another try tommorow with the 8 GB card, because now I Know what should happen.
