Xtralogic Remote Desktop Rip Off

I purchased a license of Xtralogic Remote Desktop for $24 through Android Market. I contacted the developer if they can transfer my license to Amazon Appstore. They said I have to pay another license if I want to use the app in Kindle Fire.

Both my phone and Kindle are a personal device I'm the only person using it. It doesn't seem fair I have to pay twice in order to use it on my phone+android tablet, and Kindle fire.

It's like, if I purchase the app first at Amazon Appstore, I can run them both on Kindle and android phone/tablet. Only if I purchased at Android market, I can't use it in Kindle. :/\

So lesson learn, anything I will buy from now on, will be on Amazon Appstore.

Download the app on your phone then get a program to make a backup apk of it. Then sideload that apk onto the Fire.

I already tried. It gives a licensing error saying it cannot locate Android Market.

Ah. Have you tried installing the market? Just a guess.

I understand I need to root the Fire in order to install Market. I don't want to root it yet.

Just found an older version .apk and install it to KF. It is working. I don't want to go that route but I refuse to pay the greedy developer twice.
