XXLP2 flashing problem

I am not sure how to get it out the mode you are in but did you do a full wipe of your phone before you flashed it?

No because I flashed it via Odin and it would overwrite anything anyway.

After 30 min I disconnected my phone. I couldn't get into recovery, but download mode was no problem. I located the PIT file and flashed again. everything went fine this time.

So find hat file before you flash!!! :D

I was involved in a conversation with many people on XDA forum this weekend and many people who installed LP1 or LP2 this weekend had issues with Market and Network not working. We determined the common fault was that people who did not do a full wipe had issues. We don't believe the installation via ODIN does a complete wipe and that it was leaving something behind. Perhaps you using the PIT file does something but I know in LP1, there wasn't even a PIT file to use. I installed both LP1 and LP2 and did a complete factory wipe both times and the only issue I had with the builds was TI Backup acted up while doing restores both times. I took it off my phone mainly because battery life was very bad...

The PIT file resets the partition tables on the internal card and, since it cannot do so in a non-destructive manner, renders it void of data ready for flashing the new firmware.

You should actually have 5 files for flashing ICS via Odin, PIT, CODE, MODEM, CSC to be flashed first with the "Re-Partition" box checked; then the stock KERNEL to be flashed after a reboot via the PDA section with "Re-Partition" unchecked.

I also tried LP1 & 2, but retreated to CR Revo/Siyah with the LP1 radio which, unsurprisingly, works much better on ICS and doesn't do the battery any favours in CR/Siyah which points to it being one of the culprits for the dismal battery performance in ICS.

I do like what I've seen of ICS though and am looking forward to having a stable version on my phone fairly soon, hopefully.

I also noticed that and have since moved my baseband back to KPA...
