Help "Y" key = "Tu", . . . Space = (space.)

So any time I hit "Y" in upper or lower case I get "Tu." Any time I hit the space bar on the right side it gets me space plus "."

I've calibrated my screen, taken the battery out for a few minutes, reset it multiple times and nothing works.

Thoughts?!

This is only in landscape mode. If I type in portrait the keyboard works fine.

No luck. Nothing of the sort in the user dictionary.

It is like the screen literally isn't sensing that I am touching the "y." When I press it the keys to the side enlarge but never the "y."

Yes.

could it have something to do with your language setting or a language error? tu is Spanish for you so maybe it thinks you are trying to type the word you.
