Help yahoo finance widget

I was trying to remove the widget from my home sceen as i dont want it to continue to update itself when im out and about.

I went into manage applications and clicked it then clicked clear data. Now it says problem loading widget and i cant get it back.

Please help

Think ive found a way, just re add the widget from add widget.

How do I freeze it then so I can get rid of it. I have read about freezing them on other threads, what does this mean?
 
You need to be rooted to uninstall this app.

rooted simply speaking means unlocking your phone totally which means u can basicly change in it everything you want.
frozen/deleted bloatware - programs which are installed by your carrier which usually u don`t need and sometimes they can start themselves without your knowledge, especially if you are new to android and this phone... so if you root your phone you can use f.e. Titanium Backup app then which allow you to freeze (not delete, just make app not working until u cancel this process) or delete programs which u cant uninstall without rooting + u can backup everything what u have in phone and sd card.

thanks ofr the reply. So is there no way to stop things like yahoo finance other than rooting your phone? How do you root it anyway?

I just dont want things running in the background when i am out and about. I have not got an unlimited data tariff you see.
 
if you dont want a widget running on your homescreen, just remove it from your homescreen
